Fresno Metro Ministries & their Yo’ville Community Garden will be demonstrating their new gravity-fed drop seeder. Food & drinks will be provided. \nWhen: Friday\, August 7th\, 4-7pm\nWhere: Yo’Ville Community Garden\, 872 W Atchison Ct\, Fresno\, CA 93706 \nGetting There: Parking is available along the Atchison roads. A few spots are available onsite in front of the greenhouse for those with accessibility needs. Please bring a reusable water bottle or cup. \nAgenda \nFriday\, August 7th from 4-6 pm \n\nOverview of Yo’Ville Community Garden & their farm incubator program\nOverview of CAFF’s Small Farm Tech Hub & efforts to support cooperative tool lending\nDemonstration of Technology: Rinaldi Drop Seeder\n\nWhy they choose this particular unit\, overview of how it works\nDemonstration by field team and how to attach to a BCS\nHands-on time for attendees\n\n\nReview & discussion of cover crop plan\n\nWhy summer cover crops?\nDiscuss the benefits of using cover crops\nReview of cover crop resources & handout on highlighted technology\n\n\nQ&A\n\nAttendees will also have the chance to learn about the certification process for participating in certified farmers markets and what it means to become a certified producer. \nSave the Date: Friday\, October 16th from 4-6pm for the next demonstration day\, which will highlight Yo’Ville’s DIY roller crimper to terminate the summer cover crop.
