Lead Driver

Apricot Lane Farms is a 234-acre farm integrated within a reawakened ecosystem. With a team that makes the seemingly impossible possible, the farm regeneratively grows more than 200 varieties of fruits and vegetables, and raises sheep, cows, pigs, chickens and ducks with care and respect while working in harmony (or a comfortable level of disharmony) within a dynamic ecosystem. We are looking for a professional and  experienced Lead Driver proficient in safe operations, product transportation and inclement weather driving.  The ideal candidate will have excellent communicator and problem solver with a solid track record in the field.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Deliver produce 1-5 days a week; load and unload the products yourself
● Train new drivers on routes, delivery vehicles, company’s policies, and regulations
● Basic vehicle maintenance (wash and gas)
● Pickup of meat from the butcher and offload in freezer
● Assist Sales Staff, Farm Mechanic, Maintenance Staff, and Events Staff by running for needed parts or materials
● Assist Sales Team with various tasks including, but not limited to, picking, packing, sorting, fulfilling orders, loading
and fulfillment
● Other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid CA Driver’s License with clean driving record (required by insurance company)
• Navigation
• Customer service
• Basic maintenance knowledge
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Efficiency and time-management
• Problem-solving
• Detail-oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Products & Google Workspace
• Reasonable commute to the farm

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• $25-$28.00 / hour
