Devil’s Gulch Ranch is a diversified family farm operating in West Marin County, CA since 1971, raising meat animals for high end restaurants and local farmer’s markets. We currently raise pigs, sheep, goats, rabbit, chickens, pigeons, quail, winegrapes, and livestock guardian dogs.
Seeking applicants for the following positions:
Full time Livestock Care Worker. Animals include rabbits, pigeons, LGD dogs, several types of chickens and quail.
Requirements: Observant and attention to detail. Be able to communicate with other staff; ability to lift fifty pounds, have a positive attitude; able to work sober; love of farming; ability to work long hours in variable conditions. Great opportunity for experience and ideas for starting your own place. Lease option also available if you want to create your own farm business.
Farmer’s Market Sales Assistant: Full or part time.(20-40 hours)
Markets are SF ferry plaza on Saturdays and Marin Civic Center on Sundays. Days start early 4:30-5:30 at the ranch and run about 10 hours each. Must have a good driving record and valid driver’s license. Must enjoy sales; able to work sober, computer literate for POS and Excel for inventory; able to lift 50 lbs; able to work under variable conditions with a positive attitude.
