Farm Crew Member

Website Kibo Farm

Kibo Farm (www.kibosonoma.com) is seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic person to join our small farm crew for the 2024 season, from April/May through the end of November, four days per week.

We are a 5-acre family farm located on Sonoma Mountain in Sonoma County, CA.  We are a 15-minute drive from Santa Rosa, a 15-minute drive from Penngrove, and a 15-minute drive from Glen Ellen.  The farm is on the property of Belden Barns Winery (www.beldenbarns.com).  Our focus is producing unique, high quality fruit and vegetables following organic principles and practices.  We specialize in interesting varieties, particularly Asian vegetables as well as storage crops like heirloom dry corn and beans.  In addition to vegetables we have 1.5-acres of diverse tree fruit, primarily heirloom apples for cider.  We sell our produce wholesale through F.E.E.D. Cooperative and our dry goods and cider to Belden Barns’ customers on-site.  We are passionate about producing delicious food and sharing our knowledge about farming.

The farm crew works closely with the farm owners to transplant, harvest, wash and pack produce.  Other tasks include soil preparation, weeding and irrigating, as well as some greenhouse and orchard work.  The work can be strenuous, especially during the hottest days of the season, but also a lot of fun. We are looking for someone who enjoys physically demanding work outside and working collaboratively and has a genuine interest in food production.

  • Committed to working the full season, through the end of November 2024
  • Punctual with reliable transportation (there is no public transit to our location)

Schedule: April/May through the end of November, four days per week (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri).

Hours: 8 hours per day (32 hours per week)
