The Agriculture instructor position will teach courses and may serve as Program Coordinator for the General Agriculture and/or Sustainable Agriculture programs. The position will teach Agriculture classes, including soil science, plant science, and related agriculture production classes. The Agriculture instructor will teach at primarily at Shone Farm, but may teach courses at the Santa Rosa campus, online, and possibly at other district sites.
An ideal candidate would incorporate Shone Farm and some of its relevant facilities (such as landscaping, greenhouses, field crop areas, orchard, vineyard, forest, pasture, and produce processing facility) in hands-on activities and instruction. This position will also include collaboration with Shone Farm staff for the use of Shone Farm as a teaching laboratory.
