The field production and education manager will work with a team of staff and student employees to support all aspects of tractor-based field production and integrated hands-on programming on the 30-acre UCSC Farm. This position will support the day-to-day operations and coordination, cultivating over 50 different annual and perennial crops that provide the foundation for on-farm educational and research opportunities. This position will support our basic needs efforts – growing and supplying over 20,000 lbs of produce annually towards food security on campus, providing mentorship and hands-on instruction for students through our NextGen and OREI programs, as well as supporting our extension-based programming for the regional agriculture community.
