Join hundreds of schools across California, in small towns and big cities, from San Diego to Humboldt, as we take one big collective bite of locally-grown fruits and vegetables to celebrate local farms and healthy eating!
The 7th Annual California Crunch is a fun celebration of Food Day and Farm-to-School Month, held during the week of October 2nd. Last year’s California Crunch included over 500,000 student participants across over 40 school districts. Will you help us grow that number in 2023?
Participants are offered local fruits or vegetables to bite into simultaneously to inspire conversations about where their food comes from and to learn about food system sustainability. All registered institutions will receive the 2023 event guide, including tips, educational videos, procurement resources to organize a Crunch, and you’ll be included in this year’s Crunch promotions!
