Understanding SGMA and the Status of Groundwater in the Butte County Basin

Join CAFF for a free workshop on the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) and how it’s being implemented in the Butte County Basin. This workshop is aimed at helping farmers, but is open to the local community.
Attendees will learn the basics of SGMA, get updates on local implementation in Butte County, and explore water-saving techniques and smart irrigation technology. The workshop includes a hands-on soil moisture assessment, and farmers can receive a free soil moisture probe.
Following the workshop, stick around for a farmer and community mixer with a taco bar and beverages available from Lassen Cider.
Date: Sunday, September 6th
Time: 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Location: Lassen Traditional Cider, Chico, CA
