For some, the draw of Home Grown Food is about reconnecting to our past. For others, it’s a way to ensure good food close to home. At Pollinate Farm we believe that everyone deserves food that is flavorful, nutritious and sustainably grown.
Pollinate Farm is a Black Woman-owned microfarm in Oakland CA. It was born from a successful retail operation supporting, supplying and educating urban food growers. Our model is unique. We are a tapestry of urban growing sites, spread across several locations. Through the generosity of our neighbors, we are able to grow food in local residential spaces. Our farm sites are powered by an amazing team of volunteers from many professions. We grow fresh, healthy, local food for San Francisco and East Bay communities, without the carbon miles. We are stewarding the land and improving the biodiversity in the soil, one backyard at a time.
