Located in San Diego, Scintilla farms was created by two friends Blake Cowling and Austin Collins who saw a massive problem with the way we get our food. Living in a big city, most of our food is grown hundreds of miles away, often in foreign countries. The food we eat is frozen and thawed out, packaged and unpacked, handled by many different people with little investment in the food themselves and all along this journey your food is losing flavor and nutrient value. Urban Farming is a movement in providing the freshest food possible to restaurants and households that otherwise wouldn’t have access to locally grown produce. At Scintilla Farms we take it a step further and deliver our fresh produce the day its harvested, directly to your home or restaurant.
