Our Mission is to Create a Sustainable and Just Community that promotes Food Equity, protects the Environment, Educates, and promotes Economic Development.
Food Equity:
We provide free sustainably grown produce to soup kitchens that feed the hungry. Approximately 140,000 pounds have been donated.
Environment Protection:
We use regenerative agriculture to sequester carbon while growing produce on public buffer land using recycled, agricultural-grade water, which is otherwise discharged into the Bay. Education: We provide hands-on STEM education for about 500 youth/year and 500 adults about the value of recycled water, regenerative agriculture and carbon sequestration in soil. integrated-pest-management, etc.
Economic Development: We provide internships paid for by the Federal Workforce Investment Opportunity Act (through local high schools). These provide training job skills needed to succeed in the workplace. We demonstrate greenhouse growing and regenerative farming methods which save water and increase crop production. Our interns learn teamwork, make friends, have fun & contribute to their community. We are an all volunteer run farm.
