We are Sandy and Tom Farley, and it’s our eighth year of turning the empty weed-filled lot next to our home into a small-scale urban farm, Himmelgarten. Our goal is to provide the freshest produce we can to our subscribers. Farming has risks [drought, pests], but the benefits [fresh, nearly organic food; closeness to the seasons; weekly exercise; meeting neighbors] far outweigh the costs. You can subscribe and eat very locally from March to November.
