Private Family Office Farm

Position: Full Time Farm Driver

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Onsite / Route-Based

Compensation: $31.25/hour ($65,000 annualized)

Season: Year round

Location: Carmel Valley, Monterey County, California

Primary Purpose and Function

The primary purpose of this position is to provide safe, timely, and professional delivery of farm products. When not on active routes, the Farm Driver supports fulfillment, fleet readiness, and general kitchen or ranch operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Safely transport produce, dairy, juices, pantry goods, and other provisions while maintaining cold-chain standards.
Maintain cold-chain integrity and proper handling standards in refrigerated delivery vehicles.
Follow delivery manifests and communicate delays, route issues, or recipient feedback promptly.
Maintain a high level of discretion, professionalism, and service during all deliveries.
Keep delivery vehicles clean, fueled, inspected, and ready for service; coordinate routine maintenance as needed.
Partner with the Packaging and Fulfillment Lead to verify order contents, temperature requirements, and loading before departure.
Assist with order verification, loading, packaging, and staging when not on active delivery routes.
Provide general kitchen, ranch, or facilities support during non-driving hours as directed.
Skills Work Habits and Qualifications

Current, unrestricted California Class C driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Safe and confident driving in traffic, on rural roads and steep terrain, and in varied weather conditions.
Reliable, punctual, discreet, and professional, with the ability to communicate promptly regarding route or delivery issues.
Physical Demands and Requirements

Able to perform full-time active work on routes throughout the Bay Area and Carmel Valley, and in and around the farm.
Local residency within one hour of Carmel Valley preferred.
Able to work in various weather conditions with daily exposure to the elements.
Able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, Saturdays, weekends, and occasional holidays.
Ability to safely lift and maneuver up to 60 pounds on stairs, slopes, and uneven ground.
Ability to load and unload deliveries and perform active kitchen, ranch, or facilities support as assigned.
Ability to safely operate a delivery vehicle for extended periods and work across onsite and route-based environments.
